Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN RB) @kemenpanrb Abdullah Azwar Anas visited the STIS Statistics Polytechnic (Polstat STIS), an official school under the auspices of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) this morning (15/5). MenPAN RB's visit aims to review the readiness of Polstat STIS in conducting the 2024 New Student Admission Selection (SPMB), which registration begins today.
"Of all the official schools, STIS is the first school I went to because STIS is important and strategic. "Because to overcome this nation's problems, one of the most important things is data accuracy," he said in front of the central and provincial BPS leadership, as well as the STIS Polstat academic community in a hybrid manner at the STIS Polstat Auditorium.
Anas said that this year almost all official school formations were reduced. However, in the future, not only the number, but the quality of official school applicants will be very important. This year, Polstat STIS opened 355 formations.
Plt. The Head of BPS, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti expressed her gratitude for the support of the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform in efforts to fulfill national statistical human resources through principle approval of the needs of official school students from Polstat STIS for the 2024 budget year to fill the needs of CPNS within government agencies.
In his presentation, Anas also conveyed the impact of bureaucratic reform because the role of BPS data is very important in the downstream aspect. The synergy between BPS and the government, both central and regional, can be strengthened to make data more meaningful for the programs/policies that will be implemented.
